Lissa Whittenton

Lissa WhittentonLissa has the cumbersome job of running the entire front desk at the office single-handedly. And she does an amazing job! We have seen her go WAY out of her way for patients before (including solo performances of "Happy Birthday to You" down on her knees with her arms outstretched), and is a beloved fixture in the office.

Lissa was born in Green Bay, Wisconsin, and proudly refers to herself as a "Big Cheese-Head". Her Dad is Jesse Whittenton, who played football for the Green Bay Packers from 1958 - 1964.

"I suffered from migraines since the age of 3 and by age 18, I was unable to work or even get out of bed due to the excruciating pain." remembers Lissa. "All I could do was lie in bed and cry. My grandmother forced me to go to the chiropractor after exhausting all the available medical routes with no luck. After the first visit, the migraine was worse than it had ever been before and I informed my grandmother that I would NOT be returning to that doctor. My grandmother, being of Irish Catholic descent, informed ME: "Oh yes, You WILL be going back!"

"And.......so I did. By the third visit, my back and shoulders were loose and my headaches were gone!"

"I've been working here at Lifestyle Chiropractic for almost 8 years and believe that I'm truly blessed to have found these doctors! Not only for the care that I myself have received, but for the patients I see on a daily basis who share their progress with me. I have seen miracles worked here at this clinic, and I'm excited every day to be a part of it!"

Lissa spent 15 years working for the Hyatt Corporation in the past in such exotic places as Palm Springs, Long Beach, Hawaii and Kauai. She loves to dance, read, camp, horseback ride and water-ski.

Dr. Dean Asks some important questions of interest to San Antonio residents - Chiropractor San Antonio Dr. Dean Asks...

How could chiropractic help a stomach problem?
Chiropractic works by locating and reducing areas of the spine compromising nerve communications between your brain and your body. If nerves to or from your stomach are irritated, your stomach won't work right. Chiropractors find the source of the interference, reduce it and allow your body to work as designed.
How long does it take to form a bone spur?
Many who begin chiropractic care think their problem happened "last week when you bent over funny." But pictures of the spine tell a different story. Chiropractors know it can take your body years to deposit the calcium necessary to form a bone spur. It's your body's response to stress due to gravity or joint malfunction. And chiropractic care can help.
